Does my carrier support a smartwatch? A checklist
Short answer: Ask the carrier for the plan name, the list of supported watches, whether your phone is supported, and the cost after any free period. Then check the watch itself.
The ten checks
- Does the carrier have a watch plan? Cellcom and Pelephone publish one. For Partner and Hot Mobile, ask.
- What is the plan called? Cellcom: "Cellcom eSIM". Pelephone: "pelephone eSIM".
- Is my exact watch model on the list? Cellcom's list names Apple Watch Series 3 to 6; newer models are not named, so ask.
- Does my phone work with this watch?
- Does the plan share my phone number?
- Is there a free period, and what is the charge after it?
- Does it work abroad or only in Israel?
- Do I need to visit a store or can I activate in the app?
- What happens if I change phone or watch?
- Can I cancel without a fee?
Contactless payment
Payment on a watch depends on the maker's wallet, your bank and your phone. We have not verified wallet support (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bit, Paybox) on watches in Israel. Ask your bank which wallet and watch it supports. The catalog's payment field is on the contactless payment page.
Your result
If all ten answers are clear, you can buy with confidence. If one is missing, ask the carrier before buying. Facts for Cellcom and Pelephone are as listed on October 4, 2026.
