WristGuide ("we", "us") operates wristguide.com, a free smartwatch comparison guide. This policy explains what information we handle, what we do with it, and the rights you have. It is written for a global audience and includes specific notices for the European Economic Area and UK, the United States, Israel, and Japan.

1. What we collect

WristGuide is a read-only guide. We do not have accounts, contact forms, newsletters, or comment systems, and we do not ask you for any personal information.

• Information you give us: none, unless you email us at the address above. If you email us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to answer you.
• Language preference: the site saves your chosen language in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
• Server logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data when your browser loads the site (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). Cloudflare uses this to deliver and protect the site. We do not use these logs to identify or profile you.
• Fonts: the site loads font files from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to download them, which transmits your IP address to Google. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy.
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4): we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google Ireland Limited for visitors in the EEA/UK/CH and by Google LLC elsewhere, to count visits and understand which pages are read. GA4 records events such as page views, approximate (city-level) location, device and browser type, and language. GA4 never logs or stores your IP address. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, GA4 only starts after you accept analytics cookies on our consent banner; elsewhere it runs as part of the normal operation of the site. The retention period for visitor-level analytics is being verified with our Google Analytics settings. Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms; we do not use Google advertising features on WristGuide. The optional data-sharing and Google signals settings are still being verified.

2. When you click a buy link

Product cards link to third-party retailers (for example csmobiles.com). These links may be affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you (see our Affiliate Disclosure). When you click, you leave WristGuide and the retailer's privacy policy applies. We do not receive your purchase details or payment information; at most we receive an aggregated commission report that does not identify you.

3. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data only on these bases:

• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): operating, securing, and delivering the site via our hosting provider, and answering emails you send us. Our interest in running a fast, secure guide does not override your rights, given how little data is involved.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): analytics for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, which runs only after you accept it. You can withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer; withdrawal stops analytics from that moment.
• For visitors elsewhere, analytics runs on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): understanding aggregate readership of a free guide.

4. Who receives data

• Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), as our processor.
• Google (font delivery, as described above).
• Google also acts as our analytics processor (GA4), under the settings described in section 1. Analytics data may be processed in the United States; transfers are covered by Google's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses.
• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. International transfers

Cloudflare and Google process data in multiple countries, including the United States. Where the GDPR/UK GDPR requires safeguards for such transfers, they are covered by the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

6. Retention

We keep no visitor database. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare under its own schedule.

7. Your rights

EEA and UK: you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Israel (Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, as amended by Amendment 13): this policy is our disclosure to you at the point any personal data is collected. The purposes of any processing are described above; the controller is Intoit Global Ltd, reachable at [email protected]; recipients of data are listed in section 4. You are entitled by law to review personal information held about you and to request its correction if it is inaccurate.

United States (CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws): you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to correct it. We do not knowingly sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you have a request about these practices, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

Japan (APPI): we handle any personal information within the purposes stated above and do not provide it to third parties except as described in section 4.

Because we hold so little data, most requests will simply confirm that we hold nothing beyond an email thread, if you wrote to us. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within the time the applicable law requires.

8. Children

The site is a general-audience buying guide and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

If we change how we handle data (for example, if we add a new service), we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
