Overview
The Blackview Z20 (2024) is a low-cost 4G kids watch built around features rather than polish: an 8 MP camera, video calls, GPS+LBS+Wi-Fi positioning and built-in games, at roughly EUR 50. The 1.83-inch screen is one of the biggest on a kids watch.
What it does well
- 8 MP camera and 4G video calling at a price where most rivals offer lower-resolution cameras.
- Three-source positioning. GPS, LBS (cell towers) and Wi-Fi combine for coverage indoors and out.
- Big screen for small users. 1.83 inches at 240x284.
- Built-in games if you want the watch to double as a toy.
Tradeoffs to know
- Battery is listed at roughly 1-2 days (marked approximate in our data), so frequent charging is likely.
- Blackview rates the Z20 IP67 against splashes and rain. Swimming suitability has not been verified for this model.
- Blackview lists geofenced safe zones with instant alerts and an SOS button that, held for 3 to 5 seconds, sends an emergency alert to you and up to two other family members.
- Games are a real consideration: some parents will see them as a distraction; Blackview lists a school mode that limits smartwatch usage during school hours.
Price and availability
