Short answer: 39 models in our catalog were released in 2026, and 70 in 2025. This page lists them by release year and updates itself when we add models. Newer does not always mean better for you: compare the features you use, and check last year's model, which is often a close match.

How we decide what counts as new
We use the release year the catalog records for each model. We show the year, not a month, because the month is not listed for every model. When two models share a year, we order them by name, not by launch date.

A new model is worth it when it adds a feature you will use: dual-band GNSS for running in cities, eSIM for leaving your phone at home, or a longer battery for multi-day trips. If the features you care about are the same, last year's model often does the same job. Check three things before you decide: whether the feature you want is listed for the older model, whether your phone works with it, and how long the maker keeps updating it. How to compare a new model with its predecessor
Open the brand page and look at the lineup table sorted by release year. Compare battery, GPS type, water rating and connection side by side. If a new model changes only the size or the case material, the practical difference is small. Brand pages: Apple, Samsung, Garmin.
