How to compare them
Check four things for each row: the battery as listed, whether the watch also has eSIM or LTE for normal mobile coverage, which phones it works with, and the size and case material for your wrist. Satellite is one safety feature among several. A watch that lists SOS and fall detection but no satellite may still suit you if you stay in mobile coverage. A watch with satellite but a short battery may fail you on a long day outside, because the feature is only useful while the watch has power.
Questions to ask the maker
Which countries are covered? How long is any free trial and what happens after it? Does the feature send a message, a location or both? Does it work with the watch alone, or does it need the phone? The catalog lists only that the feature exists, so these answers come from the maker.
What satellite on a watch means
Some watches can send an emergency message or a location when there is no mobile signal. Others use satellite signals for positioning only, which is what GPS already does. The catalog lists the first kind under safety features. Do not assume a watch lists both. Read the maker's page for what is covered.
Before you rely on it
Satellite features usually need a clear view of the sky, work only in listed countries and may need a plan after a trial period. They are not a replacement for planning, a charged phone and telling someone your route. See dual-frequency GPS and battery life explained.
