Overview
The Anio 6 (2024) is a German 4G watch-phone for children, built around a simple idea: the child can reach a short list of approved people, and nobody else can reach the watch. It deliberately has no camera, no games and no open internet. It is IP68 rated.
What it does well
- A closed contact circle. Up to 20 approved contacts; only they can call the watch or be called from it.
- Location and safety covered. GPS, Wi-Fi and cell-based location, safe zones, and an SOS button that alerts three contacts.
- Designed for school. A school mode quiets the watch during class, and there are no games or camera to fight over.
- Remote listen-in support has not been verified for this model.
Tradeoffs to know
- Battery is listed at 24 to 48 hours, so plan on charging every day or two, more like a phone than a watch.
- It needs its own SIM and mobile plan (for example Bling Anio or congstar in Germany, from about EUR 5 per month).
- Availability centers on Germany; check local availability before importing.
Price and availability
Listed at EUR 199, the official price in Germany including VAT.
FAQ
Does the Anio 6 need a SIM card?
Yes. It takes a nano-SIM with its own mobile plan for calls and location features.
Can my child browse the internet or play games on it?
No. The Anio 6 has no browser, no games and no camera by design.
What happens when my child presses SOS?
The watch alerts up to three contacts you set in the parent app, and shares the child's location.
