Smartwatch phone compatibility: iPhone, Android or both
Short answer: Of 311 models in our catalog, 276 list support for both iPhone and Android, 9 list iPhone only and 26 list Android only. If your phone is not in the list for a model, do not buy it, even if a basic pairing is possible.

Why compatibility is the first filter
A smartwatch depends on a phone app for setup, updates and many features. Some watches pair with both platforms but lose features on one. The catalog lists compatibility as iPhone, Android or both, and it does not describe how complete each pairing is. Always read the maker's own page for your phone model.

What you can lose when you cross platforms
The usual losses are replying to messages, answering calls from the watch, health data sync with the phone's health app and watch app stores. These differ by model and by software version. Read Apple Watch with Android and Galaxy Watch with iPhone for the two most asked cases.
Check before you buy
- Your exact phone model and operating system version.
- Whether setup needs a second device or an app from a store you cannot reach.
- Whether eSIM or LTE needs your carrier to support the watch, see do smartwatches need a data plan. Features change with updates. Check the maker's current details. See our methodology.
