Overview
The Fitbit Air (May 2026) is Google's simplest tracker: no screen at all. Everything, from steps to sleep, lives in the Google Health app on your phone. It is Fitbit's smallest tracker ever, built to be forgotten on the wrist, especially during sleep.
What it does well
- Invisible form factor. A light polymer pebble that swaps between bands with a click; there is nothing to look at and nothing to distract.
- Serious health sensing for the size. 24/7 heart rate, irregular-rhythm alerts, SpO2, HRV, skin temperature and sleep stages.
- A week per charge. Listed at up to 7 days.
- Works with Android and iOS alike, unlike most Google watches.
Tradeoffs to know
- Google positions the Air as notification-free, and with no display there are no glanceable stats: if you want either, this is the wrong product. GPS support has not been verified for this model. Payment-wallet support has not been verified for this model.
- The full experience ties into Google Health Premium: 3 free months are included, then a subscription applies.
- Swim-proof water resistance, but no swim tracking display, obviously.
Price and availability
$99.99 official price. The ongoing Google Health Premium subscription is the real long-term cost for full insights.
